Uchiha Sasuke was the second born under the admired Uchiha clan of the Konoha  village in the fire country. They were known to be holders of an incredible bloodline ability within the eye called the Sharingan which granted them many extraordinary powers and, was also a fire based clan who specialized in fire manipulation. In school he was the at the top of all his classes, respected by all of the teachers, loved and admired by all of the girls and envied by all of the boys. There was however a reason why Sasuke was as strong as he were, and this being that the pressure to be as good or better than his brother Itachi, and the desire to become recognized by his father was so great Sasuke often did nothing but study and train. As the son of Konoha's Police force commander, and younger brother to Konoha's strongest and most prestigious genius there was an extreme amount of pressure on him from the get go. To others Sasuke might have seemed spoiled or popular, but in reality Sasuke lived much of his young childhood alone and rather neglected; constantly struggling to get his fathers, and foremost brothers recognition. however as strong as he may have grown he was simply not up to par with Itachi. Try as he might, the younger Uchiha did not succeed his brothers level of intelligence and skill, whom had mastered their bloodlines abilities by the age of eight while Sasuke had still yet to graduate the Academy or even activate the sharingan. Nevertheless Sasuke had pure determination to prove he was worth the Uchiha name, and gain the acceptance of his father and attention of his brother. He dedicated his life to this thoroughly.

It was on the day just before his graduation from the academy where Sasuke would finally become an official Konoha Ninja that his life goal would change. They say that with great power and knowledge comes great responsibility. He found upon coming home that his entire clan had been murdered. To further this horrific end: they were murdered by none other than his brother, Uchiha Itachi. Instead of standing against him, he knew he were no match and cowardly ran. However Itachi caught him. In tears and dismay his brother told him that he was not even worth killing, and if he so chose to get stronger than to hate him, despise him, and cling to life pathetically with that hatred; and left him traumatized in the blood of his family.

Sasuke did just that. He swore revenge.

Upon graduating the academy Sasuke was sorted in to the three man team consisting of Haruno Sakura -- a girl whom was madly in love with him, and Uzumaki Naruto -- a young boy whom was in the Uchiha's eyes; a moron. From day go Naruto and Sasuke fought against each other; Naruto determined to prove that he wasn't useless and much like Sasuke to Itachi, gain Naruto's recognition. All in which was beyond Sasuke's care. However even while their rivalry continued as the three trained and did missions, Sasuke slowly began to see Naruto was much more promising than he had first thought. Overtime the two became best friends; of course to the public eye they still were (and acted much the same) rivals. Throughout their friendship both grew an extraordinary amount. However this friendship could not stop his heart from tainting with that yearn for revenge.

Sasuke's quest for revenge and thirst for power attracted the attention of a dangerous, powerful and legendary man: Orochimaru or Oro-sama the man of the serpent who until the birth of Itachi was one of the three most powerful men in the world. Orochimaru was a fellow genius with a similar quest for power inventing curses, spells and secret abilities unimaginable to men unless seen by the naked eye. A mortal who had found a way to become immortal by using others bodies as containers for his chakra, mind, and spirit. Knowing of the great power the Uchiha had inside of him Sasuke was a perfect target. It was in the second part of the Chuunin exam where teams were sent out into The Forest of Death on a three day mission that Sasuke would receive "the mark." This mark, or otherwise known as the Curse Seal was Sasuke's first taste of 'real power'.

The seal itself had the ability to surface all powers and wield the chakra embedded deep within the body of which it is placed upon, and also tenfolding it. However it worked in levels limiting one's ability and amount accessible until the body is able to withstand more pressure. (Most die while they're at the second level due to being unable to handle the pressures their powers and the seal put on their body) Sasuke upon taking the seal showed an incredible ability to wield it already. Overtime the young Uchiha  had learn how to use it to his benefit; although it came with a great price. His personality slowly became more bitter and hateful, he slowly began withdrawing, and bit by bit was becoming exactly like Itachi wanted him to: like his brother. Noticing this and also with knowledge of the seal's ultimate usage his teacher: Hatake Kakashi, taught Sasuke Chidori [lightening wielding] in an attempt to ease Sasuke from using the curse seal as much.

However to no avail; Sasuke's knew ability and  thirst for revenge only caused him to yearn for more. This was what decided Sasuke to finally seek out the one named Orochimaru. Upon packing up to leave late one night Sakura ran in to him and pleaded him not to go, but Sasuke denied. In her dismay she went to Naruto who promised her he would bring Sasuke back. Just before Sasuke got to the bridge that parted their country from the others Naruto stopped him, and they battled. It was here that Sasuke finally saw just how powerful Naruto had become, and finally saw that Naruto was a host to a powerful beast known as the Kyuubi. This knowledge however did not stop Sasuke, and instead just heightened his need to gain more power. Almost killing Naruto he fled to the Village of Sound where the Snake man had come to reside.

Under the tutelage of Orochimaru, Sasuke reached the second level of his seal and with his thirst for revenge decided to seek out his brother Itachi. Much to his disappointment he was still far from ready; the fight was over quickly and left Sasuke psychically exhausted multiple broken ligaments and mentally traumatized. He fell into comatose for almost a year. Finally recovering Sasuke returned to Orochimaru in to continue his training. Within a half a year he reached the third level of his seal (a first for anyone who had bared the seal). With great power comes great consequences and little by little the seal began to break, caused by the constant pressure he and the seal put on his body. This began the soul's process of detachment from the body. Recognizing this Sasuke made the second but biggest mistake of his life, he issued a challenge to Orochimaru. A fight that would change his life forever.

While it was beyond evident that Sasuke was ready, and the fight itself was psychically in favor of the young Uchiha; his victory soon backfired for what would happen in Orochimaru's last minutes would curse him for all eternity. With the last bit of strength inside this legendary man he preformed the soul transfusion technique. With a twist. Orochimaru entered the body of the young Uchiha, and took over half of it; although for the time being Orochimaru's mind it at a low in need of rest. This desperate act resulted in many complications however. Though Sasuke absorbed Orochimaru's chakra with the fusion, their souls have been joined because Orochimaru was unable to extract Sasuke from the body since the process was not complete. The seal permanently took over Sasuke's body leaving him unable to close it and give his body rest from the pressures and unable to deactivate his sharingan.

However, there was one more thing: It was known to Orochimaru (and Itachi) that Sasuke's eyes were able to surpass Itachi's, and so with this bitter knowledge he made permanent pact upon the Uchiha's soul; A curse never known. Fulfilling the ambition: if Uchiha Itachi died by anything other than Sasuke's hands he would roam the earth in mid state of life and death as is now for the rest of eternity. If Itachi dies by the hands of Sasuke his soul will be released leaving his body to the hands of Orochimaru and bound to his brothers than pitched into hell for all eternity. It was true, in a spiritual sense.

Sasuke and Orochimaru's conscience were trapped within that realm while their chakra dispersed throughout Sasuke's body breaking the curse seal and all eight gates. He almost died on this day, but with his determination he survived. Not only did he survive, but he kept the eight gates together with his own control which is supposedly impossible.

With the eight gates open, Orochimaru's power, conscience, and chakra alongside his own powers together in one body Sasuke became an extremely powerful and dangerous foe. However, because the fact that the eight gates were controlled with his own will he had to be choosy and careful with his fights-- this meaning the probability of fighting Itachi in this state was very low (he was pretty aware he would probably loose it during that fight. Itachi = loss of all rationality). Knowing that Naruto was hot on his trail he spent time setting up diversions to keep them away form eachother. Due to the radical change in his Chakra it was also deemed that Sasuke was dead for four years. Later on the news that Sasuke still lived and was actively hosting Orochimaru inside his body hit the ears of the Godaime. Purposefully she stepped down and gave the position to Naruto keeping him from what might have turned out not so well should he have found out and secretly directed a secret sect of the ANBU to find him.

As time passed by Sasuke slowly began to loose sensation in his body leaving him only with his sight. Gradually things became tasteless, touch became cold and sensationless, scent became dull. The pigmentation in his body began to crawl away until his skin was pure white. The curse seal -- which he had been unable to close fully and therefore constantly in level one -- was beginning to deteriorate his body. He was unable to fight without being very careful, the taunting of Orochimaru slowly driving him to became self-loathing and destructive. He seeks to destroy the good name of Uchiha fully, and needed to supply for himself ends up putting his body to use. Salvaging whatever he could find.

Until one strange day two years later, while the bijuu are rampant and wars and plagues are all too common -- he wakes up one day, alive. Alive. Healthy and able to feel. Able to control his chakra, able to move normally. Orochimaru was gone. He couldn't place why and didn't understand, but something on his body was able to guide him. From there he went out to seek the man it spoke of: Uchiha Madara. Finding Madara in such a weakened state he learned the 'truth' of the situation, the truth of their clan, the truth of everything. From there he went forth on his goal to bring their world a rebirth under the name of Uchiha.

It was during a long and hard battle against Konoha and against Naruto that Sasuke was taken out of his world, just as the final blow was exchanged and the three faithful words were spoken, "rest in peace, Naruto."
